(Ps 62,1)

Always on the go

There’s something genuine about life when I say Always on the go. Life has so much more questions than definite answers. There is much more joy for those who walk than for those who stand by; sometimes it takes an endless force to take steps to advance; sometimes, thou, the one who’s making one little step at a time is the most joyous; it is much more gratifying to face a specific unknown than to follow what one has foreseen. Anyway, I’m among those who belong to the Way (Acts 9:2) which according to my experience couldn’t be more constant. That’s why always on the go. When saying always, it means consistent, unceasing and perpetual. The Christian Way is (sometimes) an uncertain walk, and at the same time, it’s a walk in the truth.

Very probably always on the go sounds uncomfortable, too. It seems like an everyday activity which never really ceases, in time and space, and makes one think of being tired. In a way, this is intentional because this is how our life is. We are indeed yearning for rest and stability but at the same time – ultimately we cannot have them, can we? We can experience times and places where we exit this colossal mystery of ours of always being on the go and so contemplate – like in a mirror – our real desire to reach tranquility.

For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation. (Ps 62:1)
